A-10 Warthog "Desert Storm" Display Model

The A-10 Warthog is a straight-wing, twin-engine and single-seat jet aircraft developed and manufactured by Fairchild Republic for the United States Air Force. The A-10 Thunderbolt was developed in the 1970s to answer the need of the US Air Force for a close-air support aircraft for ground troops like tanks and armored vehicles. The A-10 Warthog first saw combat during Operation Desert Storm in 1991 when it was able to destroy around 900 Iraqi planes, making it a very effective war aircraft for that period. The A-10 Warthog model is powered by twin turbojet engines and can fly at maximum speed of 381 knots. The A-10 Warthog model was a very effective war plane during Operation Desert Storm in the 90s.
